On the eve of Ukrainian President Zelenskyi’s visit to Washington, ex-political prisoners, relatives of Ukrainian political prisoners and human rights defenders came to the President’s Office to demand that the issue of increasing pressure on the Russian Federation to release Kremlin prisoners be raised at the presidential meeting with Biden.

Second Summit of the Crimean Platform
Negotiations with diplomats and determination of ways of cooperation
Foreign and domestic diplomats, government officials, and representatives of official delegations worked on the sidelines before the thematic panels together with representatives of the PLATFORM FOR THE RELEASE OF POLITICAL PRISONERS.
Attention to our Platform is no less than to Crimea. There is a common understanding to involve relatives of political prisoners of the Kremlin, released prisoners and partners of our Platform in large-scale events in the world intending to increase the media coverage and visibility of our citizens who are in places of detention on the territory of the Russian Federation, in the occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea.
For this, serious documents are being prepared for their adoption at the summits of leading international forums, organizations and institutions. Soon you will hear the names of our brothers from the world stands, read them in the world mass media and see them on monitors and TV screens.
In my opinion, the idea of “pinning” each of the political prisoners of the Kremlin to specific European and world-leading speakers, political and public figures, and opinion leaders for further support and promotion can be practical. It is promoted on the sidelines by several members of the Crimean Platform.
They held several negotiations with diplomats and identified ways of cooperation.

Meeting of Romanian journalists with the parents of Valentin Vyhivskyi
Today, on the birthday of political prisoner Valentyn Vygivskyi, a meeting of Romanian journalists with his parents took place at the PLATFORM FOR THE RELEASE OF POLITICAL PRISONERS office.
Halyna Vyhivska told about the inhuman torture to which Valentin has been subjected for the eighth year and how bravely he behaves in captivity.
We want to remind you that on August 3 at 6:00 p.m., an action in support of Valentyn Vyhivskyi and all political prisoners of the Kremlin will be held on Maidan Nezalezhnosti.
