Don’t look at me as if I’m so badly wounded. War is war. But the war will be followed by victory and peace. I believe that victory will come to my hometown of Krasnyi Luch and liberate it from the Russian occupiers

Volodymyr Zhemchugov

Hero of Ukraine (2017), public activist, former prisoner (2016-2017), and participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

He graduated from the Alchevsk Mining and Metallurgical Institute. Since 2015, a partisan has temporarily occupied the Luhansk region. He carried out 30 successful partisan operations.

On September 29, 2015, while returning from a combat mission, he was blown up on a mini stretch, as a result of which he lost the hands of both hands and his eyesight.
